Jones stars in Ravens success

Ray Lewis bowed out in style with the Baltimore Ravens.

ray-lewisJacoby Jones was the star of the show as the Baltimore Ravens held off a comeback by the San Francisco 49ers to win Super Bowl XLVII 34-31 in New Orleans.

Jones first grabbed a 56-yard Joe Flacco pass to run clear into the endzone, before his 108-yard kick-off return at the start of the second half tied the all-time NFL record.
Flacco would go on to throw for 287 yards and be named as MVP, as the Ravens won their second Super Bowl, having previously beaten the New York Giants in 2001 in Super Bowl XXXV.
Having led 28-6 when Jones made his record dash from his own endzone, the Ravens had to withstand a second-half rally from the 49ers which took them to within three points of Baltimore before the clock ran out.
Star linebacker Ray Lewis, who was playing the final game of his illustrious career, said after helping the Ravens to glory: "We finished it. It just shows what our team was built for. We were here to finish this race and we finished it.
"That's the greatest reward as a leader, to talk to them about a vision and then finishing it. To bring Baltimore a second ring before I hang up my studs, there's just no better way to go out."
The Ravens are 13.00 to win the Super Bowl again in 2014, with the 49ers 9.50 and the Green Bay Packers 10.00.
