Novak Djokovic is confident about his chances of retaining the Paris Masters after performing in key moments in the semi-final on Saturday.
Defending champion Djokovic was too strong for Japan's Kei Nishikori, winning 6-2 6-3 in the French capital to set-up a meeting with Canadian Milos Raonic.
Djokovic - the world number one - accepted Nishikori may have been suffering from fatigue after his quarter-final showdown with David Ferrer that lasted almost three hours on Friday but the Serbian was still pleased by his own performance.
"Well it was obvious that Kei [Nishikori] because of fatigue maybe - finishing late last night - or a little injury that he didn't serve as well as he can as well as he wanted," Djokovic said afterwards.
"But other than that I thought he played very well from the back of the court. I served exceptionally well when it was important; both first and second set. That allowed me to have a lot of free points, it allowed me to put more pressure on his service games. All in all it was a very good performance."
Standing in the way of Djokovic and back-to-back titles is Raonic, who survived to beat Czech Tomas Berdych 6-3 3-6 7-5.
While Djokovic is wary of the Canadian's serve, he is confident in his own ability.
"I do rely on my return and it's one of the elements in my game that has served me well in my entire career. That will probably be a key shot tomorrow," said Djokovic, who has never lost to Raonic in three previous meetings.
"Trying to get as many returns back in play and get into the rallies with Milos.
"Again, it is easier said than done. I also don't think it is a very pleasurable experience playing against someone that serves 220-230km per hour regularly.
"I played against him twice this year on clay though in different conditions. Indoor now, on hard court I think serves are more suitable to his style of the game rather than clay.
"But I haven't dropped a set and I feel confident about my game as much as he does about his game. It's definitely going to be a good final."
