Ben Jones-Bishop grabbed two tries as Harlequins RL piled the misery on struggling Bradford Bulls with a comprehensive victory at Twickenham Stoop.

The Bulls saw their winless streak stretch to eight matches as the Londoners produced a performance that belied their recent problems.

Ending a four-game losing streak of their own, the Stoop side kept their faint play-off hopes alive.

With Bradford twice coughing up possession in the opening five minutes, the hosts were quickly on the front foot.

And Quins made the most of that ball when Luke Dorn burst through a gap to touch down after good work from Luke Gale.

The Bulls seemed stunned by the pace the Londoners were playing at, and the lead was soon doubled when Tony Clubb smashed through the visitor's defence, offloading for Andy Ellis to score under the sticks.

A massively understrength Quins side seemed intent on attacking from all parts of the pitch and that abandon was really paying dividends.

The Bulls seemed stuck for ideas, and things got worse for the visitors when Paul Sykes' kick bounced kindly for Dorn, the full-back speeding away and offloading for Jones-Bishop to cruise over the line.

Bradford threw themselves a lifeline midway through the half when, after some neat footwork from Brett Kearney, Elliot Whitehead was on hand to finish.

After Steve Menzies was penalised for dissent, Danny Orr booted the two points on offer.

Bradford looked ragged, and after losing possession close to their own line Gale kicked a drop-goal on the hooter.

The Bulls began the second half in more determined mood, but a combination of handling errors and poor decision-making stopped them clawing back the deficit.

A missed tackle can change things though, and when Craig Kopczak burst through Sykes was on his shoulder to scorch away and ground under the sticks.

Suddenly the Bulls had wind in their sails and the hosts looked edgy, but all that changed when both Menzies and Michael Worrincy were penalised in quick succession, giving the home side the advantage which Jones-Bishop seized when he ran in his second try.

The home crowd were in good voice and were further buoyed when Menzies was sin-binned after yet another penalty, Orr booting the two points.

Orr then struck again with the boot, before Chris Melling rounded off a flowing move featuring Will Sharp and Jones-Bishop to score the fifth try.

Steve Crossley added a late reply for the visitors but it was academic.
