Monday saw the confirmation from the Scottish Premier League that Dundee will replace Rangers in the top flight north of the border.
Rangers were placed in the bottom tier of Scottish football last week after a majority vote from clubs in Scotland decided they should start their season in the Third Division.
Dundee, who finished in second place in the First Division last season will now make a return to the top flight and will take on Kilmarnock on the opening day of the campaign.
A statement from the SPL read: "It was agreed that the SPL would work with the Scottish FA, SFL and Rangers to facilitate Rangers FC taking their place in SFL Division 3 this season.
"It was agreed that Dundee FC would be invited to fill the space vacated by Rangers FC in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League."
