Marseille boss Elie Baup looks set to make changes to the side who slumped out of European competition when they host Montpellier in Friday's Ligue 1 match.
Ol. Marseille return to league action following their 2-0 Champions League defeat by Arsenal which left them with no points at the bottom of Group F and with no chance of progressing.
It was Marseille's eighth successive defeat in the tournament but their domestic form is better as they sit in fourth place, five points behind Monaco.
Marseille are unbeaten in their last three league games and Baup is likely to alter his starting XI following the defeat, although he revealed right back Rod Fanni will not be recalled due to a lack of fitness.
"It's hard, it still needs work," Baup told om.net.
"He (Fanni) has only had two training sessions including one on the eve of the Arsenal match.
"Next week, the issue of his place in the starting line-up can truly be addressed."
However, Baup did have some good news as he confirmed that midfielder Dimitri Payet, who was rested against the Gunners due to pain in his knee, will return.
"He has been training normally since Wednesday," Baup said of Payet. "It (his knee) is getting better."
Montpellier are also unbeaten in their last three league fixtures having notched successive 1-1 draws against Nantes, Valenciennes and Guingamp.
However, they have not won in Ligue 1 since the 5-1 thrashing of Lyon on October 6, a series of results that has left them in 16th place in the overall standings, just five points above the bottom three.
The are set to welcome back Ivory Coast international Siaka Tiene, who has recovered from a torn thigh muscle.
"I am considering one or two changes to the attacking line with the return of Siaka Tiene," Montpellier coach Jean Fernandez said at a press conference.
Defender Yassine Jebbour looks set to remain out, however, while he recovers from a thigh injury suffered in the game against Valenciennes, while right back Garry Bocaly and midfielder Karim Ait-Fana are also ruled out.
