West Ham reveal Carroll deal - Best Bet
West Ham co-owner David Sullivan says they have agreed a deal with Liverpool to buy Andy Carroll at the end of this season.
The England international has been on loan at Upton Park since the start of the campaign but has struggled to make an impact for the Hammers due to a series of injuries.
The 24-year-old has managed one goal in his 11 Premier League appearances so far, recently returning from another lay-off in the 3-1 defeat at Fulham on Wednesday night.
Despite his poor record for West Ham, manager Sam Allardyce is seemingly keen on keeping Carroll in east London beyond the end of this season.
The powerful striker cost Liverpool £35million when they brought him from Newcastle two years ago but is likely to go for a lot less if he does make the switch to the capital.
Sullivan says West Ham have agreed a deal with Liverpool to purchase the player at the end of the season but claims no agreement has been reached with Carroll himself yet.
In an interview with MailOnline, Sullivan said: "I am often asked about Andy Carroll's deal. It is a season-long loan. Liverpool had an option to take him back in January, but he has been injured.
"West Ham have an agreement with Liverpool to sign him at the end of the season, but we have no agreement with the player.
"It was his desire to come to West Ham to prove himself to Liverpool and that hasn't changed."
Sullivan went on to reveal West Ham had tried and failed to sign Stephen Warnock, Reto Ziegler and Paul Robinson on transfer deadline day but failed with each move.
West Ham can now move on from the transfer window and concentrate on turning around their alarming slide down the table.
The Hammers welcome Swansea to Upton Park on Saturday for a game they are 2.40 to win, with the Swans 3.20 and the draw 3.40.
Carroll is 2.87 to scoere anytime as he pushes for a recall to the starting line-up.
