Giggs eager to avoid Cup replay
Ryan Giggs has warned his Manchester United team-mates they need to avoid a fourth-round replay by seeing off Fulham in the FA Cup on Saturday evening.
The Red Devils veteran admits that games are now coming thick and fast as Sir Alex Ferguson's side continue to chase silverware on three fronts.
We are quite keen to avoid a replay, because we have got a lot of games coming up.Ryan Giggs
United needed two bites of the apple to get past West Ham United in the previous round and will certainly want to avoid a trip to finish the job at Craven Cottage.
Any replay would be played on the weekend scheduled for the FA Cup fifth round, and in between the two Champions League games United have against Real Madrid.
And with the Red Devils also trying to keep their noses in front at the top of the Premier League, Giggs would prefer to get the job finished today at Old Trafford.
The Welsh midfielder said: "We are quite keen to avoid a replay, because we have got a lot of games coming up.
"We know it will be a difficult game against Fulham. They did well when they came to Old Trafford earlier in the season and we're going to have to be at it right from the start."
Striker Wayne Rooney has trained successfully over the last 48 hours after suffering a knock to his knee, but might have to be content with a place on the bench.
United are 1.28 to defeat the Cottagers in 90 minutes at Old Trafford and are 8.50 to win 1-0, with Giggs 11.00 to score the opening goal.
