Chelsea manager Rafa Benitez is focused on the job in hand of beating Southampton, rather than his side's ability to mount a Premier League title challenge.
The Blues can move to within four points of second-placed Manchester City with a win at home to the Saints on Wednesday evening, but with Manchester United a further seven points ahead, Benitez has put the title race to the back of his mind.
We need to get three points in every game and see where we are in a few weeks.Rafa Benitez
"I don't like to see the table every weekend, it's important for us to keep winning games and, if we can do that by playing well and scoring a lot of goals, that will be good for us.
"We need to get three points in every game and see where we are in a few weeks."
Chelsea are 1.25 to win the game at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening, with the draw 6.50, while the Saints are 11.00 to keep a clean sheet.
The Blues have failed to register a goal in their last two home games, in the league against QPR and in the Capital One Cup against Swansea, and Benitez has urged his side to be more clinical against Wednesday's opponents.
The Spaniard added: "We are doing very well away, but at home the other teams wait deep and we have less space. We have to be more clinical.
"If we score goals and take our chances it will be completely different because the other team will be more open, but if that's not the case, like it has been in the last two games, it becomes more difficult."
