Alonso determined to take his chance
Marcos Alonso hopes to be handed another opportunity to shine when Bolton Wanderers travel to Sunderland tonight for their third-round replay.
The defender has been on the sidelines for much of boss Dougie Freedman's early reign at the Reebok Stadium, but put in an impressive showing in the weekend draw with Millwall.

The former Real Madrid apprentice looked to be heading out of the club but Stephen Warnock's return to Aston Villa from a loan spell has now thrown him a new lifeline.
Bolton are still kicking themselves having blown a two-goal lead against Martin O'Neill's side a fortnight ago and will field a strong line-up at the Stadium of Light.
Bolton are 6.00 to win the replay while Sunderland can be backed at 1.61 to progress to the fourth round.
Striker Marvin Sordell, who scored against the Black Cats in the first game, is expected to return to lead the Bolton attack alongside David N'Gog. Sordell is available at 11.00 to open the scoring and N'Gog at 11.00.
Alonso, who has also been plagued by a series of injuries this term, insists: "Football changes quickly and now I am really happy. I am working hard, as I have in the last three years to stay in this team. My head is in Bolton."
Sunderland will again be without defenders Danny Rose and Carlos Cuellar who both suffered hamstring strains in the first tie.
