Tadulala hit with fine

Bradford Bulls winger Semi Tadulala has been fined £400 for pulling the hair of an opponent.

The Fiji international was punished for tugging the ponytail of Huddersfield Giants prop Eorl Crabtree during the Bulls' 28-18 engage Super League win at the Galpharm Stadium on Sunday.

Tadulala was found guilty of behaving in a manner contrary to the true spirit of the game when he appeared in front of the Rugby Football League's disciplinary committee, although he avoided a suspension.

Tadulala pleaded guilty to the offence but claimed the act was not intentional and the offence was downgraded from grade C to B following representations from Bradford coach Steve McNamara.

The player also received a formal warning, which will remain on his disciplinary record.

Wakefield Wildcats scrum-half Danny Brough will miss his side's crucial play-off clash with Warrington Wolves at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Friday after being handed a one-match ban.

He was also fined £300 for using foul and abusive language to referee James Child during the Wildcats' 46-12 victory over Celtic Crusaders last Sunday.

Brough, who pleaded guilty by letter, was issued with a formal caution for a similar offence in March and the disciplinary panel advised Wakefield coach John Kear to warn his player over his future conduct.

Catalans Dragons second-row forward Cyrille Gossard was handed a £300 fine but avoided suspension after being found guilty of a reckless tackle on Hull FC winger Tom Briscoe during his side's 18-6 win in Beziers on Saturday.
